Pagera Editor's Note
This volume contains two of Friedrich Nietzsche's last works, both written in 1888. The Twilight of the Idols, subtitled How to Philosophise with the Hammer, surveys his thought in maxims and short chapters on Socrates, the 'true world' of the philosophers, morality as the enemy of nature, the four great errors, and what the Germans lack. The Antichrist attacks Christianity as a religion of pity and decline. Notes from his papers on eternal recurrence and on Zarathustra close the book. It is volume sixteen of the Oscar Levy English edition (1911), translated by Anthony M. Ludovici.
