客あり一日余を訪ふ談適記憶術の如何に及ふ余曰く記憶術より一層有益なるものは失※術にして世未た其必要を唱ふるものあらずと客怪みて其故を問ふ余之に告くるに失※術の大要を以てす翌朝館友森昌憲氏に余か談する所を其儘筆記せしめ忽ち此に一册子を成す乃ち之を印刷して世の識者に問ふ 明治廿八年七月講述者誌
