舞じたく 上村松園 「舞じたく」は、平常から何かの折に一度描いて見たいと思つて居ましたが、九月十日祇園新地の歌蝶さんを訪ね大嘉の舞妓を紹介して貰ひ、二度ばかり写生して大急ぎで取掛りましたが、四人の人物を描くので大分手間取り、半月ばかりは毎夜一時間しか寝ません。昼夜兼行で七日の午後四時に漸く描き上げました位ですから、自分では何ができたか夢中でした。（談）（大正三年）
