この小冊子は、明治二十七年七月相州箱根駅において開設せられしキリスト教徒第六夏期学校において述べし余の講話を、同校委員諸子の承諾を得てここに印刷に附せしものなり。 事、キリスト教と学生とにかんすること多し、しかれどもまた多少一般の人生問題を論究せざるにあらず、これけだし余の親友京都便利堂主人がしいてこれを発刊せしゆえなるべし、読者の寛容を待つ。 明治三十年六月二十日 東京青山において内村鑑三
