銀座の通りに畑が出来て 緑青々とした麦畑が出来ようと 空想していた友よ 一きれのパンをむしって乞食の子に与え 慈善をしたつもりの青年があった。 乞食をするものは 楽しみなのである 何と詩人めいた仕事であるよ 乞食をしていると 皆がお金をお菓子を呉れようとして呉れてゆくのである。 乞食のいない街は 淋しく又殺風景極まっているであろう。 ●図書カード
