一年の大部分を山で暮してゐる私は、季節の足音に耳をすます習慣がいつの間にかできました。八月にはいるともう秋の気配が感じられますが、家畜の世話や、魚釣りや、たまに机に向つての仕事やをひつくるめて、私は今、自然のふところといふものに、大きな魅力と、言ひやうのない不安とを感じてゐます。この時代に、秋の訪れを待つことは、たゞの風流ではすまされぬ気持をわかつていたゞけるでせう。 ●図書カード
