書肆岩波氏の需めにより、岩波文庫の一篇として、ここに私の作詩撰集を出すことになつた。 選をするにあたり、私はただ自分の好みにのみしたがつて取捨をきめた。紙數が限られてゐるので、暮笛集では尼が紅、二十五絃では雷神の夢、天馳使、十字街頭では葛城の神などの長篇を收容することができなかつたのを遺憾に思ふ。 昭和三年三月 薄田淳介
