いつたん此世にあらわれた以上、美は決してほろびない。 眞理はつねに更生せられて、一つの眞理から次の眞理へとうつりかわり、前の眞理はほろびる。それが眞理の本然である。 美は次々とうつりかわりながら、その前の美が死なない。紀元前三千年のエジプト藝術は今でも生きて人をとらえる。 一民族の運命は興亡常ないが、その興亡のあとに殘るものはその民族の持つ美である。その他のものは皆傳承と記録との中にのみ殘るに過ぎない。 美を高める民族は人間の魂と生命とを高める民族である。 ●図書カード
