萬物を動かす者の榮光遍く宇宙を貫くといへどもその輝の及ぶこと一部に多く一部に少し 一―三 我は聖光を最多く受くる天にありて諸の物を見たりき、されど彼處を離れて降る者そを語るすべを知らずまた然するをえざるなり 四―六 これわれらの智、己が願ひに近きによりていと深く進み、追思もこれに伴ふあたはざるによる 七―九 しかはあれ、かの聖なる王國についてわが記憶に秘藏めしかぎりのことゞも、今わが歌の材たらむ 一〇―一二 あゝ善きアポルロよ、この最後の業のために願はくは我を汝の徳の器とし、汝の愛する桂をうくるにふさはしき者たらしめよ 一三―一五 今まではパルナーゾの一の巓にて足りしかど、今は二つながら求めて殘りの馬場に入らざるべからず 一六―一八 願はくは汝わが胸に入り、かつてマルシーアをその身の鞘より拔き出せる時のごとくに氣息を嘘け 一九―二一 あゝいと聖なる威力よ、汝我をたすけ、我をしてわが腦裏に捺されたる祝福の國の薄れし象を顯はさしめなば 二二―二四 汝はわが汝の愛る樹の下にゆきてその葉を冠となすを見む、詩題と汝、我にかく爲をえしむればなり 二五―二七 父よ、皇帝または詩人の譽のために摘まるゝ
